Constructed in Guanajuato by a small collective of artisans using local wool, each rug takes about 4 days to weave. Artisans use floor loom and finish the edges by hand.
This style features a Greca repeat. In the Zapotec culture, a Greca signifies life and the afterlife. Each step and lines symbolize each stage of life, from birth, to growing, dying and life after death.
